Trijicon TARS weighs in at 47oz. Nice, you can use it as a billy club if you need to.

The scope that interests me at the moment is the 3-15x42 SWFA SS FFP with the mil quad reticle. Any reports on this particular scope? Glass quality? Any tracking issues with the turrets? I'd love to be able to slum a $1k+ scope. But right now and for the foreseeable future it isn't in the cards My boy and I each have one. I use mine for work on a 243 and have had it since they came out 3, or 4 years ago. I have dialed quite a bit and it has been very solid . Always returns to zero and tracks correctly. Same with my boys scope. Its on a 308, and he loves it. Both scopes are used for hunting, and we have killed a lot of animals with them. The reticle is a bit thin until about 5 or 6x. I leave mine set on 7x about 80% of the time. The glass is quite good, and the reticle is awesome. For hunting to about 600yds, the SS 3x9 is a better scope. The reticle is a little thicker, and the turrets are a little smaller and stiffer than on the 3x15. Both scopes are very solid though. You will like them.

I have an SWFA 3-15 on a match gun. It is a good scope for that use. It tracks reliably and holds zero. The glass or optical performance is nothing special for the price, but it is on par at the the price. The turret feel and operation is okay, but like most of SWFA’s offerings from that manufacturer (that I’ve encountered), it could stand to be improved, at least in scope-to-scope consistency if not in absolute terms. So, for me, it’s a very good competition scope. For hunting they’re not my first choice.

I wonder about the Zeiss Victory series scopes with the factory elev dial. Specifically the 2.5-10x42 Diavari’s long term durability.
I have owned a couple of these and they have always returned to zero. I just never spun them a lot. Fantastic scopes in every other regard.
