which model nightforce are you referring to? I think the mil dot is nighforce's best low light reticle without illumination. but it really does matter which model you are referring to. if you are looking at second focal plane the reticles are going to be quite a bit different looking if they are put in the 2.5-10 vs the 3.5-15 model. Probably the 2.5-10

I have used and sold both brand scopes ,you may not like my short answer, niteforce scopes are expensive but you get also what you paid for. comparing the two brands the niteforce is 10 times the scope to any busnell ,I would never put a bushnell on my hunting rifle or my son`s. Are you referencing "brand" only or specific product (LRHS)? If the latter, that's quite humorous. Are you referencing “personal experience” or just continuing your quest for smugfuckofthe year? But you are right it’s hilarious! See if formillous will tug on your hair a little! You can push at the same time and you might get your nose out of his butt. 💋 Poor Fred. Fortunately I don't have to guess. Pict from yesterday. The NXS works better for me as I like the illumination but other than that, the LRHS is damned fine. Anything else, puddin'? Is that the illuminated mildot reticle? How is it at last light? Is there enough tube length to use Talley LW mounts on a long action?

Probably the 2.5-10 I use the 2.5-10x32 which is no longer made. I have the mil dot in that scope and I have never ever needed illumination. If you buy the 42mm model you will be even better off. in fact its the scope I use and hunt with the most, I robbed the battery out of the scope to power a red dot on a trip to go bunny blasting. The scope hasn't had a battery in a couple years. don't plan on putting one in either. It simply doesn't need illumination.

h34- One of them is, the other is an IHR (both are illuminated). Last-light performance is decent but I'd not bet the farm on it - that's where the illumination certainly is the difference-maker for me vs. the LRHS. In regards to the Talley LW / NXS on the long action - it works but the stars need to align for you depending on where/what ER is acceptable for you. The Burris Tactical 2 pieces bases provide for a little more wiggle room and they're quite handy if you like using the scope as a carry handle (vs. a rail).

Stella. Names this one Jello. Great name don’t ya think. Nightforce is king of the ring even the shv line kills Leupold ect. SS scopes tracking is great and the price is great but the glass sucks. Bushnell may well make a durable scope but my money goes to America made Nightforce every time.
