Was reading yesterday on another forum about some F.A.I.R. SxS’s. Starting in your budget. Italian made. The guys with them liked them. Proper frame size per guage. I know nothing of other than what I read yesterday.

I just sold my older Charles Daly model 500 sxs last early last year. It was a quality shotgun. I bought it years ago, along with a Spanish made 10 ga.sxs to sidestep the steel shot requirement for waterfowl hunting. It was for 12 ga. only. When steel became mandatory in all gauges I sold the 10 ga. I kept the Daly for 30 years, but didn't shoot it for years. I really should have kept it.

Check with Lion Country's doubleshoutguns.com . They might still have some Ugartechea Upland Classics in stock. My uggie 20 SXS is my favorite .

Thanks everyone for pitching in with thoughts and recommendations. I’ve swung a bunch of double guns over the past few weeks, shot a few as well. Went with a lightly used Citori Superlight 20ga. Really love the way is feels and dig the straight stock. Hope to swing it on a few rabbits yet this Winter.

I ran across an EAA side by side made by Sabatti in 20 gauge this afternoon. Anybody have experience with them?
