Interesting, but someone gave me an M1 carbine, so I've got the niche covered. My wife might "need" one though.😛
Wonder what the street price will be?
What fresh Hell is this?

If that thing will cycle sub sonic rounds it would be a pretty cool little plinker. Think I see a threaded barrel...

Taken more deer with that gun than any other deer rifle I own. I was sad to see it discontinued, back in maybe 2007-ish? I'd like to see Ruger do another lever with a bit more oomph, like the 480 Ruger or 450 Bushmaster, or 35 Rem.

Can't figure out what I'd do with something like that, especially if it's ugly, heavy, and bulky, even if it is politically correct.

Can't say that it's my thing, but I say good for Ruger for changing with the times and remaining competitive/relevant. We all know the firearms consumer is changing. Much like music, we're going to resist the new stuff and hold tight to the 'goodies', but as a company Ruger needs to change with the times.

Not a Keltec clone, a Beretta CX9. Pretty much identical.

Reminds me of the Marlin Camp Rifle Yes, it does - like the Marlin, it will make an excellent camp/home defense carbine! The take-down feature will sure make it handy for transport.

6.8 pounds seem a bit heavy... I'm way more likely to be shooting 4 leg varmints than the 2 leg type... still if a fiber optic front sight was an option.... my 62 year old eyes would be more interested....
If it is cast bullet friendly, I'd never need to buy anymore lead so.... figure about 4 cents a shot.... I could like that

I was surprised to see that weight spec for the gun when you figure a 10/22 is more than a pound lighter.

Well, one advantage to those who carry a Glock would be magazine and ammo interchangeability. Handgun loaded up and a spare 32 round mag in the glove compartment which can either be used for the Glock or the carbine, depending on the situation. Yep just like guys 150 years ago with a SAA and a Winchester 73 both in 44-40 So instead of being Mall ninjas they can play cowboys LOL My first thought was it otta have the name Kel Tec on it

I get a kick out of the “ugly” comments. Who gives a schitt what a gun like this looks like? Beauty is as beauty does.

Looks a lot like the old PC9. I had one of those and it was reliable. Trigger pull was OK but not great, not as easy to reload as an AR-15. I thought the overall manual of arms was a bit clumsy. I ended up selling it and getting a 9mm AR-15 which I use regularly in 3 gun. Presumably this is an improved version.

I can see getting one, an upsize 22rf plinker and with the brass and bullet molds I have cheaper to shoot than 22rf. If you carry a glock or Ruger pistol, the carbine makes perfect sense in the trunk.
I'm just surprised that with the way the've driven down manufacturing costs for their autoloading pistols and the RAR that the MSRP isn't $100 less.

When you can get them before they sell out, you can get a 9mm AR lower from PSA that takes Glock mags for $179.00.

I'll likely be able to withstand any urge I might have to purchase one of these.
