Look at this crazy [bleep]. This is a plate of ling cod fillets. I caught a "blue" one about 30" long. Literally, blue.

Supposedly the best eating. Regular ling set an awfully high bar- incredible eating fish- so I'm skeptical. But I will soon find out. smile

Well, got a bit of tendonitis in June so took most of the month's stair-running off, including none for the last 18 days. Did 21 miles of hiking last week in the local mountains. Knees feeling significantly better, so instead of stair-running I bought a stair stepper. Did 20 minutes this morning at a stout rate. Great workout. Gotta listen to my 57 yo body. I'll miss the stairs because I think they're a more dynamic workout (like free weight's vs. machine), but my knees are more important!

Jeff- just in time for fish Friday!

Brad- is your stepper one of the ones that’s like a mini escalator? those are great, my current gym doesn’t have one and I’m seriously considering going to another gym to just have access to one

About 6.5 miles on the trail with the mutt last night. Got my first 50k in a week! Then it's time to switch over to carrying a pack to get ready for hunting.

Nice fish Jeff-O!

Yesterday burpees with double push-ups and lunges. Simple but effective. Today burpees with a sandbag clean and press then if I feel up to it Turkish get-ups with a kettle bell.

Day2 of PNWild--Which was easier than day 1.
3x15 sets of LW Squats
3x1min planks

Stairmaster: 20min

PNWild is fitting in due to a 2 month lingering thumb, wrist, forearm-tendon or ligament-issue that will not go away. Getting old and curls and such aggravate the condition. Recoil from more than a little shotgun shooting doesn't do it any favors either.

Mike, this is a stair stepper, not the escalator variety (I know the one's you mean). Mine has a dozen different resistance settings.

So far I'm liking it a LOT.

Well after the op and some swelling/infection issues (antibiotic side effects suck), I finally got a simple 2.6 mile hike in yesterday with my daypack on (27lbs). Wife, youngest son, and Blue-dog went along. Felt good to get out again. Couple this with digging/removing rocks in my yard and shooting my bow, it was a good weekend. I have 2 months to get ready. Less time than I want but adequate if I'm smart about it.

Scott: As mentioned, best of luck and the team is behind you.

Stairmaster: 20minute intervals

Day 3 PNWild---Substituted light curls for toes to the bar. The bar was being used and my wrist is not getting any better.

Extra planks, some forearm barbells, light BP sets, stretching.

Stairmaster: An easy 10minutes.

Hiked a local mountain the other day with some visitors from out of town. 10 miles and a little over 3K vertical. I was sore the next day!
