I honestly have nothing to fill the gap between my 22-250 & my 30-06. I’ve almost pulled the trigger several times over the years with a .243, 25-06, 260, 7mm-08, & .270 but since the 6.5 Creedmoor made its appearance I’ve really had my interest peaked by it. I’m glad I’ve held off this long. I think I can make my purchase with zero regrets of my choice of chambering at this point ... only worried about my choice of rifle make & model now.

Get the .270,factory ammo can be found anywhere and it's been around for 92-93 years.

With a couple of 6.5 Swedes on hand, I'd also been holding off on jumping aboard the 6.5 Creed train. That is until the Barrett Fieldcraft came to be and pushed me over the edge. I'm now anxiously waiting for scope mounts and brass to arrive...

Not saying I’ll never reload for it like all my others but I want the simplicity of an accurate rifle with factory ammo. If this chambering is here to stay it may just be time for me to drink the Kool-aid!

You're a bit late to the party. It almost ain't cool no more! wink

If after purchasing I can settle on a factory round that shoots well and is very effective on game, I very well might take this advice

Try some hornady precision hunter 143 gr eld-x

R17 gives me 125+fps more than H4350 and accuracy is the same for me. YMMV.

Better wait a while longer, five or ten years at least. Wouldn't want to be hasty.

I am pretty sure misspelling Creedmore is a prerequisite for Johnny-come-lately fan boys.
