Who’s using a Nikon P-223? What do you think of it?
Thanks. Steve

I had the P-223 3x32 carbine model on an AR for awhile and it was fine. I gave it to the son for his first carbine build and upgraded mine to a Monarch 3 4-16x42 because I wanted a bit more magnification. I'm not real fond of the BDC with the rings instead of hash marks, but that is minor.

Once you embrace the simplicity of a mil/mil scope, you realize Nikon doesn't make a single one worth buying.

Yeah, it's amazing people have been able to hit anything for all these years with an moa scope.

When you are spotting artillery, mils are the only way to go.

I've shot hundreds of p-dogs with the 4-12
First.....scrap the yardage turret and wrap moa tape or plain white tape around it. My rifle couldn't get the muzzle fps Nikon used for it's math
It has a very narrow sight window on 12X and gave me killer eye fatigue on long shooting sessions

The P-223 Series is entry level glass for those of us not taking our weapons to war and just want a scope we can go plinking or hunintg with that will be repeatable and reliable. I have been using all the P-Series scopes in different shooting event's for Nikon for 4 yrears now and not one has gone down. Literally a lifetime of shooting in a weekend. They'll get the job done for you and for a great price. http://s1216.photobucket.com/user/bman940/media/P-223%203-9/P-223Novsbr.jpg.html?sort=3&o=4

bman 940 I clicked on to your link and got a walmart hijacker add that was impossible to remove without logging out. It looked like a great scope setup and i have been looking at the Nikon P series for a while. I have 4 other Nikons I really like.
It appears photobucket is still a problem.

I have one, and though I wouldn't expect to win any kind of shooting competition with it, it does an acceptable job.
