Last I knew, EverStart/WalMart had contracts with both Johnson Controls and Exide for flooded batteries. Deka may produce a few as well. Most of the MAXX series Ive seen are common SKUs in Johnson cases. Rectangular caps will be Exides, elongated octagon caps will be Johnsons.

I have had good luck with the Wal Mart Ever Start Maxx deep cycle batteries group size 29DC and a Minn Kota 3 bank 5 amp per bank charger. I have 3 of these batteries in my boat hooked in series . I want to be able to troll all day on the no gas motor lakes and still be able to get back to the dock at the end of the day. So far so good. You have a 36v trolling motor? No, I have a Minn Kota 12 volt Terrova 55 pound with I pilot. I assume then that you mean that you have 3 12V batteries in parallel, not in series. I've heard good reports about Walmarts Ever Start's. I don't know who makes them. He means in series if he has a trolling motor bigger than 55lb thrust. A charger that charges 3 battery’s at one time - a bank charger. 3 banks = 3 battery’s. I run a 80lb thrust trolling motor = 24 volts = 2 batteries in series. 115lb thrust trolling motors = 36 volt = 3 in series. The highest you can go on a 12v system is 55lbs of thrust

Just to make it more complicated.. I have two batteries in series for my trolling motor, and I have a cranking battery. I have a 3 bank charger so I can re-charge everything at once.

I use two Trojan T1275 Deep Cycle Flooded batteries which are rated at 280min @ 25 amps and weigh 85 pounds each.
I use my 24v Terrova i-Pilot 80# thrust for 6-8 hrs trolling for crappie and keep them plugged in at all times along with my cranking battery to a Minn Kota Precision Charger.
So far I have never had a problem even when trolling all day at .8 mph. I looked at everything I could when buying batteries and the Trojan's were the highest rated at 280 minutes @ 25 amps and from experts on some fishing/boating forums regarded them as the best deep cycle flooded battery.
One thing I kept reading is the heavier the battery the better, just keep them full of distilled water and plugged in year around to some type of smart charger.
The best AGM batteries according to those sites were the Duracell Plus sold at Sams Club or Batteries Plus.
