Well, I just heard from James.
He's alive and kicking, still fighting cancer, and says that the chemo is kicking his butt.
As he put it " ...you can tell the boys that I am still alive and able to sit up and take nourishment. Enjoying the grandkids and thanking the Good Lord for every sunrise."
It made my heart glad to hear from him.
Ed We are sitting here, wishing BCR a Happy Birthday, and sending some prayers on his behalf.

Cain't be skeered. When a man is confronted with the fact that his remaining time on earth is drastically reduced by disease, if he is wise he will ration that time wisely. The Campfire wouldn’t make my short list.

The Campfire wouldn’t make my short list. Had my run in with that stuff. A positive attitude never hurts when dealing with it. It took me a while to develop one. Maybe my way of relating that information was a bit too flippant. I spent a good amount of time in the company of others who were dealing with the same. All of us seemed to fall into a black humor way of looking at it. Maybe it's not for general consumption.
