I have a couple thousand pieces of Geco .223 brass once fired in my ARs.

Started reloading some yesterday and have the following observations,,

The primer pockets are very lightly crimped, The brass was easy to de-prime and size, The slight crimps were easy to deal will with a single hand turn of a inside chamfer tool.

The primer pockets are also deeper than Winchester or Nosler, those are the only other brass I have used.

Using CCI small rifle primers they fit snug but not to tight, primer strikes seem deep enough and the rounds I fired using 25gr varget and 62 grain fed. bullets grouped .75 moa with no pressure signs

Fired primers are backed out flush with the rear of the case but there is no cratering of the primer and no leaking around the primer,

Having never dealt with a deeper primer pocket before my question is should I have a special primer or is the standard CCI ok?

Have you measured how far below flush the primers are seated, and/or how deep are the pockets?

I have not, just that they are noticeably deeper than others I have used,, Geco is Swiss made I believe, and I have read that European primer pockets are deeper?

Several thousandths below flush is good to go. I have found that Lapua and Norma 308 brass has pockets which are usually in spec, whereas WW has been notoriously shallow.

The primer pockets are .128 deep, factory primers in the geco cases are .005 deep and my CCI 400 small rifle set .009 to .011 deep,,, I found the following and it seems to be close to within the norm with the geco promer pockets a little deep
