I'll concede my freezer has been filled only once by a 303 Savage. Once is not a track record, but Sierra 180 grain round nose did the trick and they are truly loved by my 1899 B and my 1927 99F. When I get stellar groups, I generally quit seeking alternative loads. But I can change, if I have to.....(Red Green)

I have had great results with 150 grain round nose bullets. I have used Speer, Hornady and Sierra 150 Round Nose with Great Results and very good accuracy. I had very poor results with Winchester 190 grain Silver Tips that blew up on a Big Michigan 8 point White Tail's left front shoulder with a solid hit. I had no idea those rounds were so fragile on impact. The deer was taken by another hunter on the property with a nasty looking wound to the front shoulder but no penetration. My hand loads do the job, avoid Silver Tips if you prefer a shoulder shot..
