Howdy. I just acquired my 1st Win model 70 Fwt. I'm thinking about some Talley Lightweight rings but not sure of the best ring height. I have a Leupold Vari XII that will sit on top for now. Low or medium? Thanks for your help. BP...

I have always used medium height rings with Vari-XII 2-7x on my pre'64 FWT's.

I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Then STFU. The rest of your statement is superflous bullshit with no real bearing on this discussion other than to massage your own ego. Suckin' on my titties like you wanted me.

Lows for every scope up to about 42mm - maybe 44mm.

Low rings and scope are on and bore sighted. Now if I just had time to go shooting. Looks like it will have to be after Easter. Thanks gentlemen. BP...
