Rocket man wants to meet with Trump to talk about de-nuking. Hope it's in DC though they are saying S. Korea. More winning? This would be a big one.

in the past the us would not negotiate directly with the norks. the norks are a piss-ant country.

mark this development down as a weakness expressed by the us.

we've tossed in the towel, and i know that's bad.

Yup, squeeze China by the dumplings to find out how important gerbil boy is to them. Turning up the heat on the sanctions didn’t hurt either. Gerbil boy can’t survive with the current sanctions, he smart enough to know even his most trusted army officers can’t either. It’s self preservation for the mouse.

No nuke deal = no steel here from China

Makes sense to me, and it shakes up the globalist money-changers. Europe can slink away into their socialist swamp and rot. With the exception of chromium, we have everything else we need right here in this country. Chromium can become a problem. South Africa and Kazakhstan are the world's sources for the mineral, and China has been buying up about 1/2 of the world's production since 2010.

The big California steel "producers" simply import Chinese raw steel and re-form it into sheet, rebar, beams, etc. CA can go square to hll. We might see a moderate increase in the cost of goods produced here, but eventually with manufacturing returning to our country we'll have good paying jobs back to afford increases. Unions have to quit sabotaging their own interests and get with the program.

He's just the latest in a long line of scam artists. Past presidents have caved to their demands and given them billions plus technology. I think Trump can see through the SOB.

Kim is the one who offered to give up nukes for his nations safety.

I don’t know. A guy like Kim has no kids. So he isn’t worried about the future in the way his father was. He has to realize that the noose is tightening and that If Trump doesn’t get him, his own generals or the Chinese might. A guy like that might be receptive to being bought off. A couple of billion dollars and asylum in someplace like UAE or Oman, and he might just be persuaded to step down and ride off in the sunset. He would have enough money to engage in unlimited debauchery without having to worry about the day to day struggle to stay on top.

Probably a bit of both - but mostly buying time. North Korea's biggest issue (same with China) is the presence of US troops in the region. If negotiations prove fruitful in getting most or even some removed, then he'll consider it a victory. Meanwhile, he's buying time for more research and engineering on nukes and missiles. He has little to loose by appearing to be rational.

No, but China does. And China wants to continue to do so without the high tariffs........and China holds a lot of sway over North Korea...........

having nukes is the only thing that keeps North Korea in the conversation.

Without them they get ignored, their people starve and they can't blame their woes on the United States as a common enemy and general reason they are a 3rd world country.

The LSM has been saying for months that Trump is a crazy man. Maybe Kim decided it would be good to believe them. I love Trumps approach to other leaders. He knows how to handle them (from years of experience negotiating in different countries). They know he means what he says and is a man of his word. If he says he will blow N Korea off the map, they better believe it. Plus the sanctions he put on them is starving them and their army. They have to do something. But do I believe Kim is lying? I think that's all he knows to do.
