Yesterday I did burpee's, Turkish get up's with kettle bell, and finished off with kettle bell swings. This morning was a long walk with the dogs. This afternoon will be burpee's and pull-ups.

a brisk 15.5 miles this morning, temp in the upper 20’s- trails nice and frozen, much preferred to soft snow/slush

someone on the trail was evidently in the Easter mood smile

Burpees and more burpees. Varying them up by adding double push-ups, lunges, pull-ups and as many reps as possible per set. One way or another I knock out at least a hundred a day. On days when I have the time I catch my breath after I finish and then do some sandbag HIIT. This weekend I've been working evenings, so I do my burpee routine early in the morning when I get up and then when I get home from work I knock out a bunch of kettle bell swings before I go to bed.

Weather here has been bi-polar. Cold with ice and snow and then warm up enough to make the trails greasy. Mother Nature has been having so many mood swings that I wish she'd take her damn meds!

Friday an hour on trails with Onyx. Snow still knee deep in places but the good news is I didn't need MicroSpikes.
Saturday 6.5 miles in the Big Belts with the wife and the black labs, mud, snow and dry trail. Another two miles with Gunr.
Sunday 6 miles on trails with the wife & the border collies. Quite a bit of bare trail, some mud and snow.
Monday off
Tuesday an hour on trail with Onyx. The climb up the ridge was mostly bare with quite a bit of mud. The luge run down was scary without MicroSpikes. I'm thinking that I should have MicroSpikes at least with me until August this year.

Jeff- have fun! Love the OR (and WA) coast

Ed- I haven’t been out of spikes (or snowshoes) since November; agreed it’s going to be a while yet
I think I may have seen your vehicle Friday- do you have a 4Runner?

Mike- I have a Landcrusier.
Friday was up in Scratchgravel, foolishly thinking the trails would be bare...not

ahh- Scratch Gravel has potential, but I’ve gone a couple of times in the summer and the weeds due to the fire, were pretty bad- it’s been a couple of years, I should probably give it another go, definitely fewer folks than the South Hills

A day off from work and the Sun is shining. My drive way and side walk are thawed and the weather is just right for working out in the Sun. Going to hit it hard this afternoon. Warm up with jump rope then my daily dose of burpees and onto some sandbag and kettle bell.

Wish I had some mountains to climb. Y'all who do are truly blessed, but I bet ya' already know that.

Mike- Scratchgravel is often a good choice in winter and spring. Unusual snow this year even compared to the usual in the South Hills.
I don’t go there much once it gets hot.

Went on a trip for work. Airports and sore ankles don't mix. But KC has good barbecue.

Went to the gym today, cardio on the arm bike, 400 cals in 43 minutes, and a few leg machines.

Tiny Elvis (and wife) are back, we got 4 miles in yesterday evening on a varied conditions trail- I think this will be the norm for awhile; south and west slopes baring off, north and east holding onto their snow

snuck in 200 yards of lunges at work this am
