458 Win mag. Looked around a bit, seems its about a buck each or so... but even a buck each once fired mixed brass.
Everyone seems out of stock, notes limited run.
Anyone have any clue what time of the year this run might be done.
Any specifics if any brands to lean to or stay away from? I have two boxes of WW ammo and 2 boxes of Fed nickel plated ammo/brass so far...

All I can say is it sucks having chamberings that require with brass with limited availability.
I wouldn't think twice about getting 50 to 100 pieces of 375 H&H brass, neck up and trim to length.

You can see how much I have not researched this at all. Good to know there is a "parent" case I can use if I have to.
I figure if everyone seems out of stock, they must be doing a run this year sometime, and I"m not in a rush, but I will pay attention when it does show up. OTOH I have a 375 H/H die, never had one in a rifle, no clue why I have a new die, and 100 rounds of 375 brass probably wouldn't kill me even if I never used it as 458

When I got my first 458 lott brass was pretty much a do it yourself deal. I found some once fired 416 rem mag brass, necked up and trimmed to length and used 458 win mag dies. Next lott the round had become a factory offering so I could buy brass and dies for it.
You can make 458 win mag brass out of any belted mag case 2.5" or longer, though necking up brass shortens. So 338 and 300 win mag are options, anneal before necking if the brass has been fired. You can also use any of the full length belted cases, neck if needed then trim to length.

Graf's currently has Norma in stock and Midsouth Shooter's Supply has WInchester in stock. Both about $2.00/ each though. When I bought my .416 RM I put up a WTB in the classifieds for components. Was able to get most all I needed at a good price too. One other place to look is gunbroker.

I would give Hornady a call. There should not be much trouble to get 458 WM brass. https://www.hornady.com/contact/Phone: 1-800-338-3220

So - Norma 458 brass is available and IMHO, better than spending time forming from a smaller bore belted case. It is $2 each. I got to give credit to jwp475. I did a google search for the OP and came up with nothing. Now he has an option. However.... Hornady brass is also excellent and that is normally priced at $1 each. And that is not some random mix of used brass. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1010147153/hornady-reloading-brass-458-winchester-magnum-box-of-50Before I paid 100% higher price, I would drop a dime and call Hornady. They could be running a batch this week!

The Hornday 458 lott brass I had was top notch, I wouldn't hesitate to use it if available. I'll try and look for brass in local gunshops, if I find some will pm Jeff.

Jeff, I have several pieces of Norma and Hornady basic mag brass. Are you able to shorten them? Let me know.

Butch, I dunno, I am sure I can figure it out....but its really not worht the effort for just a few.
Guys, thanks for all the help. I should have noted I saw the obvious like gun broker and such but was checking dealer costs and just happy to sit back and wait for a dealer to have them come into stock but was curious about what time of the year or if it happened every year or not...
I'm not really in a hurry, just putting things on purchase lists...

This is probably more than you want, but maybe a group buy to spread the cost.https://www.starlinebrass.com/brass-cases/45-Win-Mag-Brass/
precision is group shooting, accuracy is hitting your intended target.

Not sure if some of you guys are still looking, but Norma is having a sale on their brass in hard to find cartridges. .458 WM brass is extremely cheap at around $16 for 25. Look at safariammo.net under brass components. If you're an SCI member you can get free shipping too if you order a minimum of 2 boxes. Unfortunately for me, the brass I need isn't really reduced much. They've got brass for double gun cartridges and other more obscure European sizes as well. Hope this helps someone.
