Thinking of parting out a few 1920 or 20/26 guns that are ratty. Like to see what some realistic prices on items are, hopefully someone out there has tracked some of the selling prices from egay or other places. One is .300, other 250-3000, not sure on third one. Prices are pretty messy.
Looking for prices on separate items
1. Bolts
2. 54 sight
3. barrel
4.small parts
5. receiver
6. One good stock
etc. Thanks to everyone in advance for their thoughts. Todd

best bet for prices is gunpartscorp.com
what would you want for the complete rifles?

This sort of stuff pops up so rarely so its hard determining prices. Rarity certainly comes into play but it would have to be to the right guy as I don't think the 1920 is all that popular outside of the forum. Having said that, this forum is likely the best place to come for selling. Having said that and hopefully not sticking it to myself, how "ratty"and complete is the receiver? I have a 300 barrel and bolt that are looking for a home. I'd be interested in the 54 and stock, but the former would be worth beaucoup bucks. Best of luck in determining prices and in selling the parts.

PS - I just looked at your pictures. You have a nice little stockpile of parts there.

I looked at gunparts corp, and they are high priced but as you said, very few made. I'm just at that point where I want to down size. I have about 60 Finn mosins also that are some rare items.

That's a lot Nagants, but the Finns (which I think were rebuilt by Sako) were the best of the bunch. Gunparts doesn't have much, as you saw. When you get it figured out drop me a PM for a stock and the pick of your receivers. Good luck and thanks for letting me unashamedly make my pitch for your parts.

You do know that at a certain age the value of kids drops tremendously. But, as with most, it does go back up with maturity. Thank God my folks didn't toss me out with the trash when I was in middle school - they certainly had all the excuses in the world to do so! Hmm, just what is the 1920 Savage parts kid exchange rate these days??...

The finns were either made by VKT, Tikka or Sako, although all of them started as russian receivers.

I have 2 daughters, 14 and 16, and they have a lot of value but also cost a lot of money to educate and such!

that is generally the case unless the arm is approaching collect able quality.
when i had a shop in kommiefornia, i usually made 20% more selling parts over complete guns in questionable condition. sold mostly to Jack First as he was next door.
still would be interested in the 250.

I will end up having probably 5 barreled rec. some 300 some 250, I have 5-6 bolts, probably a couple of lyman sights, and other parts. May have 32-3 complete guns and one Very nice aftermarket figured stock, it will be a day or 2 before I can get pics and prices up.

Did you say you might have 32 or 33 complete guns? Holy smokes, that should satiate the needs of many forum members.

No, sorry it was a typo, should have been 2-3. Am I best selling the rec/barrel/bolt all together or splitting it all up. Some receivers are swiss cheese ones, also, are 300 and 250 both the same bolt faces?

Rifle 1 has a beautiful piece of wood, came from an estate s/n 11104 300 savage, bore appears VG has a marbles 20 and there are 2 extra holes in the barre behind the word savage , probably from a target block. The wood looks like a 300 dollar piece of wood I would guess

It is nice. If you don't mind me saying, keep me in mind when you decide what you want to do with it.
