I found a nice one/sleeper, sent the op a PM..... Gees thanks bro... I found just the right one for you too. It's going to need a barrel, stock and trigger... Suweet send me the sellers info lol. I'm looking for the holy grail of featherweight the xtr featherweight in a 06 made in 1980. Featherweights are nice man, but the "holy grail" is sitting in my safe. It's a 1956 30-06... The real reason I got rid of my 270 fwt..

I found the twin to your daughters rifle. Very good deal. Has a leupold vx2 3-9x40 on it and they only want $650.00.... Your wife and daughter could have matching rifles... Or you could use it too, if you are ready to step out of the closet... I’m think I’m ready to tell the world

Damn battue, that stock looks familiar. op, if you have your heart set on a 270, keep looking. One will fall in your lap, unless you prohibit that from happening. The one i sent you the link to for instance. You wont find a deal like that one any time soon. That was a good one and it sold for $800.00, with the leupold 2.5-8×36. Like i said, that scope brings $300+ any day of the week. They arent going to give the rifle to you, but that was like buying the rifle for $500.00. This isnt 1958 anymore and they arent selling for $150.00. Those days are long gone...

I looked for quite a while before finding a decent fwt 270. Decent being original or even redone blueing in very good shape and a useable stock. One thing I learned is when you find a decent one at a reasonable price, jump on it or someone else will. Finding one in original/excellent condition is very tough, and you should expect to pay top $ for it. Much easier to find other fwts in very good shape, in my experience.

Funny, I just took a 270 Fwt barrel off one and put on a 308 for a client. anyone need a fwt barrel, Re-blued and re-crowned That 270 barrel is worth much more than a 308 barrel. Just saying. Did you also replace all the other parts that go along with the job: Ejector, magazine box, extractor ring, bolt stop etc... Bobin used to say that sometimes they didn't function as well when you went from a short cartridge to a long or vise versa.

And I know of a .308W that if it hasn’t sold is available. Maybe a box of shells have been shot out of it max. Been in the cabinet for years. Family rifle I tried to buy-Aunts-for years, but Cousin wouldn’t let it t go. Now I don’t need it and I think he still has it.

Just called him and it is a firm $1150. I’ll get some pics next week if you are interested. If so, must go thru a FFL.
If I didn’t have more p64’s than I need right now, I’d buy it myself.
