Which state would be best to hunt looking for a large deer, not so much horns but a big bodied animal. Weapon choice is easy as I have shotguns and muzzleloaders whatever is legal I will tune something up for the hunt.

Drive north, further you go, the bigger they get. One of the laws of nature, in fact. Bergmann's law I think they call it.

Wisconsin has some really big bodied deer or so I hear. Think the world record (body weight) WT was taken there iirc.

Yep, the farther north you go, the harder they are to drag. grin

I'd look north of the border. I love the look of those fat Canadian bucks with chocolate antlers.

Have to look into hunting in Canada to see if the expense is outrageous.

Maine. You can stay in the states and not need a passport.

World record by weight was in MN. Over 400 pounds dressed weight, killed by Carl Lenander.
