How long ago did Hornady discontinue their 366? I just saw this while starting to look around on ebay and other sites for one of these to purchase? I am not particularly interested in progressives but this is/was all that Hornady offered so I wanted to pick it up. I already own a few MEC's and wanted to pick up some other manufacturers' offering. Any recommendations? Single stage is just fine for my volume of shooting.

Hornady just stopped production of the Hornady 336 loaded during the first term of the Obama Admin to allocate resources to metallic loaders. If and when Hornady will continue production of the 366 machine is another question?

The 366 a great machine that's built like an Abrams tank yet demand for shotshell loaders has been on a downward slid last 10 years so only Hornady really knows.

If you buy a used one Hornady still has parts. I have 4 366s and they are pretty bulletproof.

Brownells shows the Hornady 366 12ga and 20ga in stock.... $780 on the 12ga Ouch.

I use a Mec 9000G, a good machine for the money.

Used Hornady 366's show up on Trapshooters.com from time to time with pricing from $350.00 to $400.00 depending on condition. I "Sold" my Hornady 366 in 28 gauge last year when I started shooting 3/4 oz in 20 gauge from skeet and 5-stand....and deeply regretting letting it go.

Since a single stage is OK, take a look at the MEC lineup. I do not hunt small game much any more, but I still have a MEC 600 jr. in 12 and 20 gauge and a Pacific 105 in 12 also. The Pacific was bought cheap on eBay before I found the MEC 12 gauge. Hornady still uses the same powder and shot bushings as the Pacific, so I can keep it running.
