Good Luck fishing, JM....Weather should be decent. Hope the rollers are low and water calm...I'm 100 yards from the ocean right now and never owned a fishing boat to catch what it offers. I do kill it on the coastal rivers for salmon/steelhead. Keep your jigs moving, up down, up down...Fire off a pic if your hook a nice halibut or big ling...Wear you PFD! 😎

Does a 30-06 loaded with 200 gr. partitions count?

Biggest I’ve ever run, and currently in the safe, 35 whelen, 338 Winchester, 338 RUM, and the boys 340. Don’t think the qualify though. Ain’t too much that can’t be done with a 338, if anything.

I had a 470 NE when I live in Alaska.

That was fun to shoot!

The 338 Ultra with 250grain @ 2900 FPS is a thumper. If I hadn’t found the sweet heart deal on my 300 RUM. I would have bought one. I still look them up once in awhile on gunbroker, seeing if someone is letting one go on the cheap..😎

I've had several 45-70's and 450 Marlins. Also had a Ruger .338 Win mag. A .375 H&H with a good set of express sights is something I could really get into anymore.
