That's sweet man! We all know how hard it is to draw a rifle Bull Elk tag in Nevada without out a ton of points, and you can't even apply for 7 years after you draw. Go get it man!!!

Thanks. It'll be a lot of hard work. Wilderness area on foot...

Congrats. I loved hunting in NV when I lived there back in the early 80's - Always hunted deer near Winnemucca, and elk in the Ruby's.

GOOD LUCK !

Son in law got extremely lucky and pulled a Nov Rifle bull tag with only a couple points and also a speed goat tag. Nothing for me.

Wilderness. I'm assuming 72-74

I would be celebrating too. Great tags in a great area. You won't have too much competition if in the Jarbridge W.A. Good luck.

Not a damn thing wrong with that...

I've a friend who drew a bull elk tag near Mountain City. Great area.

I hate to admit it, but I let what few points I had slip in Nevada. I decided that before I got too deep (like I am in a few other states) I would rather take the money I was spending for a license every year plus the point fees and put it towards something more guaranteed; such as caribou hunts, Hawaiian axis hunts and such.

Good luck to all who drew NV this year. I'll chase snowcock, but that'll be my Nevada adventure for this year.

Been planning to go after the snowcock for years and never got around to it. Best of luck to you and I would love to hear all about it when you go.

nemotheangler,
SIL tag is just East of your wilderness tag.First rifle. Pure luck as these NR tags are tough to draw if you don't have a ton of points.

Yes, I was fully expecting antelope and a few more years trying for the bull tag. No antelope and a bull tag. I will take it!!! Best of luck to your SIL. Hopefully you get to tag along.

Congrats! I drew the same tag. Hopefully we won’t be rubbing elbows, but it would be interesting to compare notes when we are done.

Agreed! Big country out there. Last time I hunted cow elk near there, the closest I came to another hunter was around 3/4 mile. Too close for comfort but not exactly rubbing elbows. Best of luck to you and keep in touch.
