you silly boy, that ain't how it works. big business subs out that kind of cheap work, so they get two subs bidding against each other.

they don't hire machinists and pay benefits and insurance and pensions! thats so 'grandpas good old days"

we're talking hotels, golf courses , agribusiness, construction of tract homes.

a sub will have a pickup and a glove box with some business cards. if the sub has to go out of business because he hired an illegal or 30 and got caught, oh well. his cousin will be along in one week, maybe with same truck! and a signed contract saying he will not hire any pesky illegals, he means it!

Golf course/resort is still good to go.

same/same with lettuce field, orange grove, subdivision.

"Privatize the gain, socialize the loss" You can get that as a tattoo.

That's how we roll in Arizona. You can take that to the bank. Many do.

So even a liberal like you will admit that it's not "big business" that's hirin all the illegals.

That's been the big D lie for all these years.

And all the while, it's been the smaller unethical businesses that been doin the hirin.

Like I said.

In Arizona, as subs to "big business".

just a way to get cheap labor AND insulate the business from repercussions. let the littler guy take the fall. It's the American Way!

I am from ND as well. I am glad to see some of the regs rolled back on the small banks - they got lumped in with the big ones that caused so much of the crap back in ‘08-‘10. I am grateful that Heidi supported it and went against her party. I have also heard that plans are in the works to soften up the Volcker rule, which will help the big banks that were involved in the shenanigans about a decade ago. My guess is that Heidi may not support that and good for her.

I don’t recall her supporting any gun control measures in recent memory, either. Do I agree with her on everything? Certainly not, but before you knock her too much, she has proven that she is willing to vote against the party line. Whether that comes from her own views or fear of her electorate, I’m not sure it matters. At least she isn’t owned by her party. Wish I could say that for a lot more members of both parties.

The Kochs - their main concern is paying as little in taxes as possible and they couldn’t give a sh*t less about the average American. The country is far secondary to their personal finances.

Yes.. And they overwhelmingly support Republicans, Tea Party members, far right loonies, science deniers, evangelicals, by the $Billions.

Republicans and Tea Partiers aren’t all bad, I prefer far right loonies to far left loonies, not sure what science you are referring to; the problem with a lot of Evangelicals/Christians is that they remember the Old Testament (law) a lot better than the New (Gospel), and forget that they are sinners too. I think that a lot of the problem with the country is that it is so polarized and black and white. A lot of good ground in between doesn’t get covered.
