Too much family hate going around. My old man “threw men under the bus” when I was 12. ( His little sis’s exact words). He Went to live with his “other” family. No schidt!!!!

Finest thing I ever saw was my mom taking his hand and forgiving him on his deathbed for everything. And she thanked him for two fine chillin! ( Thats all they had when they was together, so I do count as one of them!!!!).

I live in Iowa. When my mother passed about 4 years ago, I put her obituary in several papers in Iowa. I don't believe I spent over 100 bucks for all of them together. That's what I was going by.

Neither are they mandatory, so were her kids spending big bucks to spite her? It's just a weird situation all the way around and one I'm glad to have no part in.

Charging that kind of money for an obit should be against the law.
