Last night saw a massive shift in the political landscape in Ontario when the Progressive Conservatives swept into power over the Liberal party. Wynne didn't win and she found out just how much she was disliked. It will be interesting to see just how Trumplike the PC leader Doug Ford will be. He wasn't my choice for party leader but I guess we will find out whether he will be as bad as was feared.
What are the reactions of others throughout the Province?
Jim

Liberals got throwed out. Only 7 seats therefore not a recognized party in the legislature Progresive Conservatives got a huge majority government with the New Democrats being now the official opposition. Doug Ford as leader of the Provincial PCs is now Premier. At least he is used to dealing with negative press—his brother was the mayor of Toronta who died of Cancerwho was a very popular politician in spite of a video showing him smoking crack. My riding—ThunderBay East—re-elected liberal Mike Gravelle. Natives tend to vote liberal sometimes NDP. Thunder Bay West liberal Bill Mauro got replaced by an NDPer. I’m not sure what riding you are in Richard? The only reason I vote is so I can bitch I’m not politically active otherwise.

Karl, if you are asking what riding Wabigoon is in, I don't know. I know how NW Ontario people feel about being on the back of the map.

Is a riding a political region? Like our congressional districts? Or am I way off?

A quick search online indicates ridings are Canadian federal electoral districts.

Remove the word "federal". They are electoral districts.

Caroline Mulroney won in my riding by a landslide and I am happy for it. I am still unsure of Doug Ford being the right person for the job, guess time will tell. I was very impressed with both Caroline and especially Christine during the debate but regardless, the Ontario PC Party sure has a lot of bench strength..
