Stairmaster: 15min warmup....

TNation: Romanian deadlifts, Seated Rows, Standing barbell press

Rollout: 2x23

Stairmaster: 15min intervals

Been awhile for using a pack: Filled it with a 1.5flats of shotgun shells-approx 30pounds of shells-and tool Merlot on a 2.5mile hike.

Now, if you filled your pack with Merlot and took a dog named shotgun for a walk, youd be onto something.

I guess, as long as I didn't take a fall.

On time on a horse pack into the Bob Marshall an acquaintance who liked Peach Schnapps wrapped a bottle in his sleeping bag. It didn't survive the 15-16mile trip unbroken. it got tied to a rock and left in whichever fork of the Flathead we were at for a day. It still was sticky when we left.

Dang, no way I'd store that sh** in my sleeping bag. I'd store it in yours but only the finest whiskey would go in my bag.

Now that I know how it works, best make sure yours doesn’t break. Because if it does you get nothing. Bad can be good when it’s the only game in town.

3.5 miles with Tiny Elvis yesterday evening, legs are feeling better

Jeff- I never experienced the lumps, but a google search came up with a bunch of stuff- sounds like it could be tied in with PF

Ran 7 miles for a relay on Saturday, then due to lack of planning I ran 7 more miles back to my truck. I'm still sore. mtwarden, I have no idea how you do it.

Yeah, I've see that too. Plantar fibroma I think they were calling it.

They are about the size of a pea and quite sore. However, as I say, it doesn't seem to affect function. Onward!

Instead of the usual 10 3 minute rounds with 1 minute rest between rounds, I did 10 2 minute rounds with 1 minute between rounds on the elliptical.

quick strength session at the gym- bench 5/5/5, overhead press 5/5/5, pull-ups 3x10, dips 3x25, core

usually do squats with bench, but going to give the legs a little more rest

Quick 6 miles on the mountain bike last night to see if I could tolerate clipless pedals. Went in search of roots and found plenty... managed to only get pitched off once at low speed.

Open water triathlon this weekend - first of the year.

Hired a trainer for a few sessions at the gym, he seems pretty good. Working on re-building leg strength, core, and balance.

Sorry to disappoint, it's "he." He's been good about giving me free advice over the past few months, and seems to know his stuff.
