One thing's for sure.

I bet whoever it is, pleases us more than whoever Hillary would have picked.

Outside of works well and plays well with others I don't see how that's much of a drawback. Legal analysis is legal analysis and that's what law professors do. And she must have published so there's a record of how well she does it.

I'm going with a long shot, Sykes. We must remain strong on the 2nd.

Kennedy was a staunch supporter of the Second Amendment, supplying the crucial fifth vote in District of Columbia v. Heller,

Kennedy was a swing vote that blew whichever way the wind was from.

I'm in favor of a strict Constitutionalist that believes the Constitution was written as it was meant, and that the meaning has not wavered or changed with time.

She's not just a Catholic.

She's a Charismatic Catholic:

It's a cross between Catholicism and Pentecostalism, to include the speaking in tongues.

Dailymail's picked up on this angle as well:

Here's the liberals grilling Judge Amy about religion...

How many here agree? (Besides those that already have...)

I still can't get any of you guys to tell me where in the heck she stands on the 2nd and immigration. I'm not looking for another "swing" vote in the SC.

Trump's still got a majority in the Senate. No reason to waste a pick on a "crap shoot". Tell me she's FOR the 2A (which I can't find any evidence of) and I'll support her. Otherwise, don't waste this chance.

With the exception of the second amendment, as stated.

Little "dicky Durbin, and Fienstein are performing for their constituents. Personally I'd like to see someone that we know is pro 2A up front, and strong on the border the next time around. Let Amy replace Ruthy when she falls in her soup bowl. Let the dems think they switched Trump on Amy with their views, but if they blow it, on his first pick, she's a strong second choice. Get the next one in now. Amy will get her shot. I think she's a good candidate. Truth is NO ONE KNOWS. Even Reagan only got one conservative out of three. Judges are going to be a surprise even to the president.

Haven’t heard squat from the NRA. I’ll assume there aren’t any candidates they’re worried about.

I seriously doubt we won’t see an improvement.

I would however prefer a judge that didn’t see fit to partake in this style of nuttery:

Maybe the Catholic Dems and the 2 RINOS should recuse themselves from voting on a co-religionist. LOL

I coulda swore Murkowski was a practicing pagan heathen that sells and resells her soul for votes.

The heritage foundation is vetting the picks for Trump; I suspect they'll pass the muster if they're recommended by heritage.

I’m hoping she’s a red herring to draw the dems out and no more than that. Jmo
