Those Lodge round griddles are nice and handy aren’t they. You bet.....handy as hell as a grill or in the oven. FYI.....they're the perfect size for a five pack of Pillsbury Grands. Or as I like to call em...a bachelor pack. I use them "mostly" as a comal for tortillas. Dang near daily. Well, mostly the slightly older one on the left, I like the handle better. The one on the right has a more curved handle that's slightly longer, but it makes it feel heavier to my arthritic wrists. I never thought of biscuits on them.........but I will now! Tonight was white rice, locally grown wild rice, some of our homegrown chicken that was bbq'd recently, topped with some tasty mango chutney my wife makes. Now for some melon for desert. Geno

Lunch today. Mexican style Shrimp cocktail. 1 Qt Clamato, 2lbs shrimp, Bermuda onion (red), celery (some people like cucumber in theirs I HATE cucumbers), cilantro. Spices to taste. I add garlic, hot sauce, and a couple of fresh squeezed limes. Make sure that the Clamato is chilled. Dice up the onion, celery, and cilantro (I use the stems). Let chill in refrigerator. Cook the ship, DON'T OVER DO IT. Chill and peel. Dice them up into nice sized chunks and add to above mixture. Sometimes I add fresh octopus or squid also. Pretty good with a slice or two of avocado. Some like to add diced tomatoes too. Mighty refreshing and tasty too. Picture I borrowed from the internet.

Fish boil tonight. Fresh Lake Michigan whitefish, taters, onions, sweet corn, kosher salt, and some melted butter. Fam loved it.

Everything looks damn good gentlemen!
Wife put an arm roast in the crock pot this morning.
Later she put some onion soup mix on it.
Mashed potatoes, boiled carrots and a kind of beef/onion soup juice.
Very good. We dont usually use a crock pot, but it sure turned out good today.

Last night was a proper spinach salad after a trip to the farmers market. I was darn good. Tonight will be grilled burgers and a broccoli/cauliflower salad.

Owl, that looks damn good. Share the recipe for the gravy? Breakfast Saturday, didn't download the pics until tonight. Chocolate waffles with homemade mixed berry freezer jam. Geno PS, the bonus was getting Breeze the wonder whippet surveying his kingdom in the pic

Due to the work load for show prep and being down one person we got a Papua Murphy chicken Alfredo pizza and then I added stuff from our garden as well as extra cheese. Of course it should go without saying that super thing (almost cracker like) is the best crust.
