I rarely feel like puking. Maybe on my last ship, taking 30 foot seas off the port beam off the VA Cape, or walking past a dumpster full of food waste and maggots. But today, I came close.

I was walking through the local WinCo parking lot when I saw this disgusting, half toothless woman, clearly a member of the community degenerate hand out population. She knocked over one of those cigarette trash dispensers on the ground. You know, the green plastic things that people put their butts in. She then got on her hands and knees and sifted her hands through the filthy mound of spent cigarette butts, dirt and ash, and scrounged up about 10 partially smoked cigarettes for later.

How fugking pathetic do you have to be, smoke a cigarette that has been sitting in a bin of dirt and ash and has already been in someone else's mouth who could have who knows what diseases???

Of course, after getting her stash, she just left the pile of filth on the ground for someone else to pick up.

Have you seen the price of cigarettes lately ? (grin). Friend of mine lives in town near a 7-11 convenience store. They have security cams all over the outside 24/7. Store owner told my friend they routinely get video of bums late at night picking up butts to smoke when they aren't dumpster diving.

I wouldn't have cleaned it up.

I bet she has a well trained immune system, except for the TB and Gonorrhea.

Actually all are not bad people, just people without spare bucks for whatever reason jonsing. Some don't want to but many lack the mental capacity to quit. Self-medicating, nicotine has the property of relieving anxiety to a degree. Pity them.

It’s just as bad to lick your fingers when you eat. I find that more offensive than the old lady picking out the used butts.

Work in a nursing home with medicaid residents. Knew an otherwise pleasant woman with the mental ability of a doorknob who was notorious for doing that. Self-medicating, couldn't form the ability to want to stop for everybody trying to get her to.

Also being around smokers with a degenerative lung disease will make a rational smoker want to quit right quick. A miserable way to go.

Working for the State Fire outfit and headed to Miles City Montana.


Miles City is a bit of a schit hole.......in places. To close to the oil patch I guess.


Anyway, I sent my firefighter inside a convenience store to pick some stuff up and I waited at the engine.

Little crappy red car pulls up. Strung out dirty crack whore jumps out and drags this little blond haired boy out with her.

Little boy was probably 3 or 4. He was filthy too.

She makes him sit on the curb while she went inside. Little boy did not look up or smile or anything. Unusual sitting right next to a fire truck.


The old bitch comes out with some beer and smokes. Nothing for him and he was not over fed.


I think about that little boy once in a while. He had no chance.

Thinking about it later, I should have offered her some money.....course he was probably a good bit of her meal ticket.

As much as experiencing such folks may stimulate our various reactions, this unfortunate (and inconvenient) truth is seminal. And, the feral condition may express itself in very surprising ways. A complex species.

On more than one Sunday morning I've seen the local drunk bums help each other in and out of the Main Street dumpsters.

They will dive in and drink the whatever's left in the beer bottles/cans.


Moneys butts ain't chit around, hell that's what the fancy bums do.



And the really high class crowd will hit the dumpsters behind the grocery store and fish out any outdated meat, bread, etc..

It was not until I got married that I used sheets on the bed.

I can live quite nicely on cold hot dogs and cold canned chili.

When the well goes dry I dont mind not taking a shower.

But it does not hold a candle to the thousands of really disgusting and horrible things I saw "people" do while serving for 29 years on the Seattle Police Department!
Many of those years were spent in plain clothes street vice assignments and undercover assignments in the "downtown" and "skid road areas".
In addition to those assignments I also spent patrol car time in Seattles two "urban ghettos".
A street urchin smoking someone else's cigarette butts - he-he, you ain't seen nothing yet!
Lesson: a small percentage (thank God!) of American citizens are shameless scum who know no bounds of deprivation!
Try to ignore and stay away from them.
In a way I am glad you were nauseated by this incident - it shows you have led a very sheltered life.
Maybe you should move into the country (out of taxington!) - way fewer disgusting public incidents to be seen there abouts?

One of my buddies came up with an idea. Buy a whole carton of premium smokes, lace them all with arsenic and throw them on the ground all around town. Kind of ruthless but definitely a Darwin tactic.

Summer job out of hs taking up an old gas pipeline south of S Antone once. Had a big strong young guy bunking in the cheap hotel with a grizzled old semifat hand. Jim would tell us how much he hated that old bastid and wanted to choke him to death.

We asked why. He seemed harmless. Jim had been sheltered i guess. Said he farted, snorted, coughed, hacked and snored all night. It was 12 hr days 7 days a week and we once hit 10 days at 110 in the shade iirc. We said the old guy was ok.

Sat pm we broke off early and boss footed dinner at motel resturant. Jim was sitting in a booth with his back to me and griz was faceing me. Griz finished dinner before Jim and as Jim continued eating, Griz popped out his false teeth and procedded to leisurely lick them clean, smacking all the time.

Yep, Jim, you need to kill that sob.

The older I get the more that kinda thing bothers me. We can’t find enough help in the flathead, but every Tuesday and Thursday you see the crack heads lined up at the food bank. Dirty kids in tow without much of a chance in life.

I haven’t read this whole thread but I will opine that table manners are a thing of the past and it doesn’t really appear to depend on class or raising. I commonly see people do things in public, and often at more intimate setting like dinner parties and the like that would have gotten me dismissed from the table in my home as a kid.

Crazy cat ladies as a group. Had one in our district that you could smell her house from the street. Cat shidt and piss all over. The house was closed up year round and we get high 90s/low 100's days in the summer. She ate cat food and had fleas in her hair, a generally filthy body. Another that passed and her cats started eating her. Ears, nose and lips chewed off. We went on a mutual aid fire with a podunk neighboring department. The smell of burnt cat piss and shidt was so bad that our chief pulled us out and left. Those bozos wanted us to help with the extensive overhaul.

Humanoids that voted for Obamanation or HRC are about the most disgusting beings that I know of, jes sayin.
