What is blue’s true form?

What is blue’s true form? As seen by humans, and deer apparently. But I guess when a deer’s brain was made it wasn’t big enough to have room to decipher all the variables of every other color.

can anyone recommend a puffy coat that is reasonable priced and quiet? Yes, I can highly recommend one of those. It's one of the most useful pieces of elk hunting gear there is.

79, none of my puffy jackets are what you'd call quiet. There might be some out there but I haven't found them. The brands that make quality gear for backpacking and mountaineering don't make "quiet" jackets because their market is not hunters and a layer of "quiet" fabric on top of the shell just adds weight and decreases compressibility.. And brands that slap on a "quiet"outer shell for hunters don't tend to make gear that's as light, compressible, and effective as the backpacking/mountaineering jackets.
My solution is to leave the puffy jacket in my pack when I need to be quiet, and wear a soft shell. Which works most of the time because a good puffy jacket is too warm to wear when you're moving. Or put the soft shell on over the puffy.

Or put the soft shell on over the puffy. What smokepole said. I do the same thing, wear a softshell with pit-vents and pack a puffy vest or jacket depending on expected temps/ forecast. If necessary I'll wear the puffy under the softshell while still hunting or glassing, and take it off before I start moving. Any durable lightweight, compressible puffy vest or jacket will do.

Tight wads we are we buy stuff on sale. Wifes impertech rain top only came in blue. We've not done elk with it, but moose... have been almost close enough to touch many times... FWIW Kind of a powder or light blue
We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....

Hey Brad, your camo not needed for a rifle hunt will not prove out everywhere, all of the time. This learned over 55+ years of hunting deer, bear, elk and moose. You are right though if you don't get out of the vehicle...lol Good to know, thanks. I need all the help I can get. One of these days I’ll kill an elk, and camo with blaze orange over the top just might be the ticket! Good thing I was not sipping coffee or I'd have spitlaughed it all over the keyboard. (In case any newbies don't know, Brad is one of the most consistently successful back country elk hunters among those of us who hang out here.)
