Correction, 47 cookies. I cannot be held responsible if the number of cookies decreases any further.

Correction, 47 cookies. I have a feeling by the time they arrive to Army Joe Springs that they be down to an bakers dozen

I know this is late notice, but if anyone has a chunk of flint they're willing to part with, please bring it. I would like to teach my daughter how to use a flint and steel to make a fire and she's having trouble grasping the small piece of flint I have left. Thanks.

High_Noon - thanks for getting the fruit - that will create some smiles, and the 48 cookies. Hoping maybe you'll still have one or two cookies left when you get to camp.
Judy - all of that sounds delicious. thanks for the desserts.
Patrick and Leonard - good to know that you are headed this way. Drive safely.

Pretty much all packed. Just need to load the cold stuff in the morning. In addition to the green chile burritos, Crystal is sending a big cheesecake.

Remind me, next time I go to the farm I'll grab you a chunk of flint and mail it to you. Flint will be from Brownwood area. Probably will not go until end of August to fill a feeder.

I believe that I can find apples, cherries, grapes and disposable bowls. Maybe also half and half.
Expected to show up Friday afternoon.

Truck is out of the shop. Have one or two minor chores this morning, then pack the ice chests hope to be rolling by 12 noon.

Aarrgghhh.....
Went to open an ice chest that I let someone borrow, and it was full of rotten cheese curds. YUCK !!!
Spent an hour in the HOT sun scrubbing it out.
When it rains, it pours !
Still trying to get outta here by noon.

Expected to show up Friday afternoon. Okay, I found some of all of the above, plus plastic spoons and strong plates. I suppose I don't have enough for 40 people, but it should keep the kids and sweet tooth types occupied. The half and half is low fat, which I'd never seen before.

Not a nice surprise, OWL - never fun, and less fun in the desert summer sun when you are tying to get on the road. Take your time on the road - a few folks now in camp will be watching for you.

Bad news gents. I headed out last night to get my vintage trailer out of storage and bring to the house to gear up and discovered the hail storm last week was worse over where my trailer is stored. All the vents got blown up by hail and it's in no condition to travel. I had a small travel window, had planned to leave Friday after noon and come back Sunday afternoon, but no way I can get replacement vents and get them installed in time. Enjoy the shoot - Many hopes to attend next year.

Got a late start. Had to work 1/2 day. Stopping at discount tire, broke a cord in the left front tire. I didn't even make it out of town. My life sucks.

I finally made it home....... not a pleasant journey with stomach cramping all the way, but at least I can die in Texas.
Thanks to everyone who loaded my stuff for me. I could never have done it alone.
I’ll see a Doctor tomorrow and hopefully get an antibiotic without having to go in the hospital for all the tests they did when I had my first attack of h pylori several years ago.
Never holler whoa or look back in a tight place
