I was rereading this thread, and at the start of it that little dog riding in your lap. Thats how the girl princess golden retriever rode home with me when we first got her.
she is four years old now, lots lots bigger. riding home from prescott yesterday she still prefers to ride in my lap looking over/through the steering wheel.

Rommel is one of the most beautiful shepards I have seen. I always loved those "brindle" colored shepards. The sadddle dogs never were as pretty to me.
And yes, Rommel needs an in house friend.

He's my 'special needs' child now, as he is deaf from being around so much shooting.
That's probably a good thing, so he won't hear the "ding ding ding" in the truck either, when you don't hook up your seat belt....... Me, I'm just a seeing eye person.
