Looks like a nice bullet to me, especially if it is indeed more stoutly constructed than the Gameking.
Options are nice. Sierra has long offered a hollow point Game King that has a much tougher jacket than a regular Game King or a Match KIng.These bullets have a very large hollowpoint and the BC numbers were not that good. But the terminal ballistics were really great. These things would expand and penetrate well. I bet the jacket on the new tipped bullets is heavy like on the old hollow points. If so,I bet they work great.

Took them out to 600 yesterday and they were sure doing a good job of bucking the wind... Is the claimed BC on or??????????????????? Fotis, I'm by no means an expert, but from every range between 200-600 things dialed spot-on with the SWFA 3-9 and the ballistic app on my phone. Dave Dave, Which app are you using?

If I may, how do they compare to the Nosler LRAB?

Did I understand correctly that they use a copper jacket?
Most bullets have gilded metal jackets. I wonder about the thickness of the jacket also? The original Barnes and Swift both have copper jackets. I believe the original Bitterroots also had copper jackets.
Fotis, could you cross section a bullet and report on jacket thickness?

Substantially less bearing surface on the Sierra, that is a plus, but it's not a bonded bullet so to me that's sort of Apples to Oranges comparison.
Seems like a comparison to a Ballistic Tip would be more same same.

Jacket thickness may not tell the entire story, In the past when Sierra wanted a tougher bullet part of their solution was a higher antimony % for a harder core.
Nosler on the other hand has some beefy jackets on some BT's and AB's.

Their video on youtube shows a shoulder bone (which was inserted into ballistic gel) being hit and the bullet retrieved looked really good. What they did not tell you is that the bullet (fired from a 284 Win) impacted at 2500 fps only. That was disappointing to me. Most C&C bullets would react the similarly.

I have had enormous success using cup and core bullets at launching velocities of less than 2800 fps.

And those speeds are pretty useful in the scheme of things.

I would be astonished if the Sierra Game Changer is even close to the toughness of a Nosler BT. The BT is about the toughest cup and core bullet out there.

Another choice, and that`s good because rifles can be fussy. I've had good luck with the 165gr GK HPs and some of their others too, but deer are easy.
Gotta wonder if, with that long nose, it'll be hard to get close to the rifling, and if it'll matter in my rifles. I'm sitting on so many bullets now, I may not ever get around to these.
What fresh Hell is this?

The Gamechanger seems to be not as stoutly constructed as the Accubond Legit question, not being snarky. What is the basis for you comment.? look at the cross section of the bullet jacket on both bullets especially the base . Not sure that the Gamechanger should be compared to other LR bullets other then an Accubond I think any comparison should be with the Nosler ABLR. The only difference is the ABLR is bonded while the Sierra is not. Ballistically they should just about be the same. They do look a lot more like an ABLR than a BT to me. Paul B.
