Chicken souvlaki on the BBQ, steamed fresh green & butter beans & baby taters.

Melted some real butter over the hot vege, cracked black pepper.

Homemade pizza. Topped with homemade pesto, cheeses, mater's, onions, mushrooms, etc....

Yeah - it's freaking good

That looks yummy Ed.

And the fisherwoman looks quite happy too.

Nothin' better in life than happy fishers and good tastin' fish!

That sounds good. Recipe?

Sorry for the delay Ed.

I have to apologize as it was not an actual Salisbury steak.....it was round steak. My wife straightened me out on that one.

2 one or two pound round steaks

2 tbs steak season

can cream of mushroom

cup sour cream

can of french onion soup or onion soup mix

4 ozs fresh mushrooms sliced

cup chicken or beef broth

half box pasta or one box wild rice (cooked)

Rub the steak with the seasoning and mix together all other ingredients( not the pasta or rice)

spread the mixture on the steaks and then pile everything in the crock pot.

low for 8 hours or high for 4

serve over rice or pasta....we used pasta. Curly egg noodles.

Grilled steaks and eggplant (from the garden). Not in the picture, a few small artichokes from the garden, from the side shoots after eating the main flower a few weeks ago. My first attempt at them up here, they have to be grown as annuals and started indoors early. Quite a change from having fights with the wild ones growing in SoCal when we were kids.

Home made Cream of Mushroom soup. Ran out of bread so I had a few Saltines with it.

I been wanting to try this for quite a while and I finally got around to it. I'll never eat Campbells again.

Don't look for veal in the Lewiston/Clarkston area unless things have changed since 2012 or so. When I worked up that way in WA I went to L town one day, just happened to be my birthday. Thought veal would make a nice Bday dinner and seeing as how I was attending to business across the street from an "Italian Restaurant" I stopped in there, was seated and given a menu and a glass of water and left to choose my dinner. The young lady (20yo?) came back and I stated I didn't see veal on the menu, perhaps I overlooked it or it was an off menu item? Her reply...........................

"What's Veal"?

Therefor the quotes around "Italian Restaurant".........................it's not one in my mind if they don't have veal, scallopini, Marsala, Parmesan, or any other dish.

I couldn't find any in other restaurants in town or in Clarskston, including some of the fancier ones I'd never regularly go to.

I might have to look for a Kosher/halal butcher shop the next time I'm over in Redding as most groceries no longer carry it.

Make me hungry thinkin about it.

For tonight's dinner..............please see the thread "upstairs".

Dang, that bean pot gets a lot of use around your place.

Looks yummy. Wish I could have made a loaf of bread and air freighted it to you! grin

Will work for soup
