The NYT just announced that the plea deal DID NOT incliude cooperation with Federal Investigators.
And since it is a Federal matter ,Trump can pardon him if he wishes. Trump is an unnamed co-conspirator in the conspiracy to commit election fraud and campaign fraud that Cohen pleaded guilty to. He cannot pardon a co-conspirator. Trump's going to have to let this play it.

Cohen claiming he acted in concert with and at the direction of Trump in committing a federal election law felony is a very big deal and will be very difficult for Trump to convince a jury he had nothing to do with. Prosecution of Trump while he is in office may not be without some severe legal questions that need to be resolved before that prosecution can begin. This has elements of the lead up to Nixon's resignation. The next steps in this dance are going to get interesting. Cohen stated several times on the record that Trump had no knowledge. So when was Cohen lyin'? Then or now? He has severe credibility problems. It doesn't matter. Trump has admitted the payment and there is a paper trail.

It needs to be restored. But in order to have that, the FBI criminals, Hillary, Bill Clinton meeting the biased AG on the tarmac, and years of Obama criminality need to be prosecuted to fullest extent of the law as possible. Until then... Fugg You.

The main issue for Trump is that this is a SDNY case, not part of the Special Counsel process. Trump has zero control over this and there is nothing he can do to stop it. Andrew McCarthy, a Fox News regular and former SDNY prosecutor wrote a piece in the National Review back in April when Cohen's home and office were raided said this is serious trouble for Trump. He called it correctly when he said it involves various criminal conspiracies which Trump is a part of.

Forget Russian collusion, he MAY be guilty of that but it is the least of his problems. Trump is guilty of breaking campaign finance laws. He is also guilty of obstruction of justice. All a prosecutor has to do is print out a list of all of Trumps Tweets since becoming president, hand them over to a jury and say case closed. He'd get a conviction. The man is his own worst enemy.
It's never the crime, it is the coverup. Nixon was an extremely poplar president too. He won the electoral college 520 to 17. The biggest margin in history. He had nothing to do with the Watergate break in, but lied and tried to cover it up and was forced to resign.
But Trump won't have the decency to resign. He will have to be carried out kicking and screaming like the spoiled brat he is. The real problem is the gutless Republicans in the house and senate who enable this behavior. The Republican leadership in 1974 had the guts to throw Nixon under the bus and do the right thing. Had they not done so there would have been a huge backlash and Democrats would have been in control for a long time. As it turned out getting rid of Nixon opened the door for Reagan in 1980, just 6 years later.
I voted for Trump and under the circumstances don't regret my decision. But the time has come for us to open our eyes and see that the man is hurting conservative causes.
Most people don't really want the truth.
They just want constant reassurance that what they believe is the truth.

The point is there is nothing here that is going to remove Trump from office or PREVENT a 2nd Trump term anymore than Obama's birth certificate removed him from office or made Mitt Romney President. If they had big shiite on Trump, you think this pussy plea deal would wrap it up? Get real! You people are the Leftist version of the Birthers who thought they had Constitutional authority to remove Obama over his birth certificate. That means you too are deluding yourselves, living a fantasy of denial hoping to ease your mental anguish until 2024 when Trump is finally removed from office, by the completion of his 2nd term. Until then, trip on, bros! [/quote]

Al Capone was never convicted of killing or racketeering, it was tax evasion that sent him to the clink.

ALL OF THIS CONSTANT ATTACK ON TRUMP BY THE DEMOC-RATS.. for everything under the sun that they can come up with...
why aren't Republicans going after indictment for Hillary, with the same zeal, for all the crap we all know she is guilty of?
Personally I think EVERY DemocRAT in this nation needs to be impeached and indicted... for treason, for collusion and ALL of their actions to undermine this nation....
and let's not forget BEING COMMUNISTS...

Time is like a rope. Keep feeding Mueller rope, keep exposing the collusion between the Swamp, the demoncraps, the Klinton Foundation, the lamestream media---all of them...and eventually there may be enough rope to hang them all in one giant political necktie party.
One thing's for sure, and that is the Swamp and the media continue to operate on the assumption that Trump is some kind of rube. I do not doubt that he does just enough to perpetuate that notion because it serves him well. These people seem to be incapable of figuring out who they're screwing with.

Cohen has lied so many times, no sober prosecutor would put him on the stand. A first-year defensive attorney would carve him up like a London Muslim.
