Reloder 15... F210... PPU Brass... loaded 3 each at 38.8 39.5 and 40.2 (stout charge but safe in my gun with no pressure signs but definitely work up as it may not be in yours). Seated them at 2.775 in my T3 Lite and got slightly better groups each charge until I got 1/2 inch group on the 40.2. Velocity was slightly over 3200 fps. Im not sure Id feel real comfy shooting one of these into a whitetail at 50 yards or less at that speed as Im not sure about the toughness yet. Sierra bullets are definitely user friendly. Only other thing from them I tried was the 100 gr Pro Hunter which was nearly this easy and worked extremely well on 2 deer. With a little tinkering Im sure this load will do even better. Cant wait to try these on deer this fall and hopefully we get some reports back before then.

Has anyone else loaded any yet? I may try some Varget since it and r15 seem nearly interchangeable and the Varget will be more temp resistant.Maybe some 4064 too just for curiosity.

No surprise that it was easy to get them to shoot. Now we need to learn how they act when they land on some venison.

that's being worked on as we speak, have a buddy that thins the heard of deer off of federal prison land. He uses the Sierra 85gr HPBT for this job, we just got done yesterday working a load for his rifle with the 90gr gamechanger. His rifle uses the same load I use in mine, might be a magic load, want to try in a few other of my 243's. RL17 with a fps of 3297, and all his shots will be 50 yards or less out of the truck window. He said give him a week or so to try it then out.

Please report back on on-game performance.

I called Sierra to discuss their 165 7mm and 165 30 cal Game Changer. Tech indicated the velocity envelope of 2500 to 3300 ft/sec but will expand down to 1800 for the 30, 2600 to 3100 for the 7mm with same expansion down to 1800. In his opinion, the 30 cal should be ideal for elk in a 308,. He thought the 7mm 160 SBT would be a better choice than the 165 GC in a 7mm-08 for elk.

I don' t know if any of you are posters in this current thread at LR Hunting, but it's 12 pages of Game Changer discussions. I didn' t read it from start to finish. I don't know if you will glean any useful information or not.

I really wish they'd given the bullet a different name. I want to try some at some point, but I hate spending money on things with asinine names. Boomers can't meme.

Seems like a pretty hot load. Alliant lists 38 grains as max with the Speer 90 grain and 3,020 fps. Agree on the name like the Zombie killers. The bullet looks good in the ads between a Match King and a Sirocco should be good. I am wringing out the ELD-xs so might be a while before I try the Sierra's. Wish the Sierra was a 105-8 gr. but then may be too long for a 1-9 twist.

Yes, I read the whole thread just now. I see what you mean. I checked my Canadian sources for the Game Changers. They haven't made it here yet. I will make some phone calls later this morning and see if I can score a few boxes. I am shooting 30-303 loads now. It would be nice to include their 165 gr. 308 bullet.

There seems to be limited distribution in the US as well. Midway appears to be the only retailer with them at present.

had a chance to try them on groundhogs tonight, 782 yards was the longest, 550, 492, 302 yards. Bullet worked great, very accurate. They kill, none of the hogs were blown apart, can't wait to use them on deer. 243 with RL17

PA, they have RCBS products, Alliant powder Hodgden powder Sierra hornaday and Nosler bullets and CCI primers. Prices aren't the best but they aren't real bad either.

You must be over by Clearfield - the Walmart over there used to sell reloading supplies.
