I will agree with Steve re: best gun(s) there. Steve's gorgeous M1903 was none too shabby also (and we shot the heck out of it).

The cannon was the star of the show. Actually hit the target with it. Too many to say "Best in show", but Joes 358 EG might get my vote.

I shamefully forgot to say many many thanks to Joe and Gary for orchestrating such a seamless event. could not have possibly went down any smoooooother.

After all, we hit the four foot square target board at 100 yards did we not? Plenty good enough for a whitetail.

I remember the young lad in the picture from last year.

He got some trigger control lessons and time and on my 250 EG.

He was a nice boy and showed good potential as a future marksman. I hope he is doing well.

Randy, he is thriving, and is the most polite well centered lad I know. He was my gunner's mate on the cannon- he laid the gun (aimed it) and lit the fuse after I loaded it. "You may fire when ready, Gridley!" - and then he scampered away right quick!

Heck, you work near that Navy school I can't mention. Mount that cannon on one of their boats, load it up with BB shot and go duck hunting. Don't bother lending it to them for the Army-Navy game; they won't get to fire it much. ;-).
