I like about a week of doing nothing but eating before a backpack hunt. I am going out to the local Ruby Tuesday where they have the best blue cheese dressing along with blue cheese crumbles!
All guns should be locked up when not in use!

Been wearing my dogs out with early morning walks with me wearing my weight vest. I try really hard to get 4 miles in as close to an hour as I can. Wouldn't be too hard, but the dogs demand we stop and give them time for a dump, pee, or an interesting smell. Days when I work I get up early and do my walk. When I get home I do 20 minutes of AMRAP kettlebell swings. Days like today that I'm off, I do my walk and later do burpees. Then at Sundown I take an additional walk. The weight vest walks hit my core really well. Throw in cold showers and I feel really good when I get in bed and fall asleep.

Nice and cool and not TOO smoky (ugh) so, 5-mile morning walk.
Had a great several days off after the month of mayhem prior. Got a truckload of new work dropped on me yesterday so back into the salt mine I descend for the next month or so. Gotta do better about working out. The smoke is a huge bummer in that regard. Basically shuts down outside aerobic activity.

Did an easy 4 1/2 mile hike in the mtns this weekend. The ankle is behind schedule. Going in for more PT and a cortisone shot this week, maybe that'll help.

Sweet!! Looks like we'll be in the Eagle Cap in a couple weeks.... can't wait. Got [bleep]-all for tags this year so I'm gonna focus on salmon and backpacking.
23-mile ride today.
