High velocity 1 and fourth ounce # 7.5 shot will do the job . Not using high velocity shot, yeah, I used to blame it on that too!!!!

The effort we put into killing a 16 oz bird. that's a HUGE dove. mine weigh about 4oz ! Texas doves..................
