I filled up on ammo as well. Crazy not to for $7 a box.
My vanguard deluxe 270 shoots the 130gr Fed blue box 1/2 to 3/4" at 100yds. Same with 150gr blue box in my 308 Kimber.
It's very accurate ammo.
Haven't tried the 100gr blue box 243 yet.......but suspect good things.

went to my local walmart today after some ammo. They had exactly what Brickseek showed. I ended up with 5 boxes of federal blue box 308, 3 boxes of 243 @ $11.97 per box, 2 boxes of Rem 270 corelokt @ $13.74, and 3 550 rd boxes of federal 22 rimfire @ $19.94 each. With the rebate on the federal ammo it was too good of a deal to pass up. Unfortunately there are no weatherbys, leupolds, nikons, beeman air rifles, or champion traps within 100 miles any more. Bunch of Weatherbys still around me. WalFart employees are hiding the Rugers. Those 2 old buzzards south of the state line cleaned all the Walmarts out around here. The only thing they didn't take were the $99 Savage shotguns. I imagine they'll go back and get them pretty soon.

Don't let the empty ammo shelves dissuade you. Despite a reluctant WallyDude I loaded up with 30 boxes of clearance ammo from the back! That's it I'm done!

The ammo has been tempting, but I roll my own, and don't shoot factory centerfire stuff. Neither do I.................scept when it's $7 per box (after rebate). Can't load them myself for that cheap (starting out with virgin brass anyhow). I needed brass for .243, .308, and .270 anyhow, so It made sense for me. I've been rolling my own for 22 years of my 35 on this planet.

Man, I hope this closeout schit is just about over. I hit the local Walmart today for some of that closeout ammo, and then, for schits & giggles, bought a half-off grill from Lowes............

I think I bought too many boxes for the rebate....dang......and one
wally world tried to stick the regular price on them.....got out the door and something
about it hit me....went back in and finally got a manager to fix it and got the $$ back...other
2 places I went had the correct price on shelf....and I was nice and left some on the shelf
for others.

The one I got, for $149.50, is a hybrid, so can use use either gas OR charcoal.

No, I just wrote down all the specifics on a post-it note, went to the nearest Lowe's store where BrickSeek showed it clearance priced and bought it. Took a little while to find it though as it was the last one at that store. Finally found it already assembled on display outside the store among a bunch of other grills.

BrickSeek shows a bunch of charcoal grills at Lowe's but you'd have to click on each one to see which are still in inventory, what store locations have that particular grill and which stores if any have it at the clearance price. Were it says, "Need help finding a Product #?
