Retired on July 22nd after 41 total years. 31 in uniform, 10 in the inactive reserve. Ten years enlisted, 31+ as an officer.

One deployment to Iraq, three commands, TDY just about everywhere. Lots of looks at the Pacific in recent years.

I loved every minute of it.

My First Sergeant bought me an Air Force rocking chair, I bought me a Barrett Fieldcraft rifle and one of these: The Honda Africa Twin DCT.

Should have retired earlier.

Question;
You going to be doing the Paris to Dahkar rally?

Congrats, Good Luck & enjoy retirement; you've surely earned it.

Be careful on the bike...........looks like it could getcha into trouble.

My son is on his 2nd tour in the navy, Pacific Fleet but he won't make 41 years for sure.

Thank you for your service!

And congrats on the bike! As a BMW GS Rider, I totally applaud your choice. There's nothing like a solid dualsport for riding, regardless of the maker. Enjoy the Ride!

I enlisted at 17 and gave it up when I had enough age that they started paying me retirement 1/2 year early as credit for a deployment.

I’m 59-1/2+.

It was weird for the first 30 seconds, I’ve been some form of “in” all my life.

Right at 31 seconds, I tossed my razor away for a bit. And took a month off from haircuts.

The first two months have been OK.
