I am having a 1/4 mile of road frontage fenced with 4 strands of barb wire, metal post no wood and metal T-post. It is all level ground that is clear and has been brush hogged. There is a 16 foot new gate that will be in the middle of the 1/4 mile making it about an 1/8 of a mile on each side.
Also there will be some old fence removed not much less than an have of the 1/8 on one side had an old rusted fence in the brush. Having it taken out and disposed of.
What would this cost in your area???

The corner, end, posts, and braces, and brace posts will need to be large wood. New, maybe $80 there. A new "T" steel post every rod, 80 $5?, I've not bought a new steel as I recall. Clips, and labor? Say $1000.00?

I'd do two 8' sections.....2" tubing.......don't skimp Smooth wire on bottom......fawns get under much better....... 12-2 barb wire at TSC is about $60 roll.... T post about $6 a pop......paying for labor is expensive I use 8' + cedar posts with bracing every so often..along with T's wanna borrow my Kioti ?

All steel is the new way to do corners and H braces. It's way faster(if you're set up and know how). We still do the old style with big rounds or rail road ties. Sorry no help on fence pricing but we did install a fancy new insulated stock tank this afternoon. Didn't really want to road the tractor back to the farm at 5:30 so we left it in town. HOA is gonna have a fit.... Drunken hijack......Kiota? Da phug...... Bristoe.

$2.27 a foot. You are basically getting 2 fences 220 yards each minus the gate. Pretty easy to figure cost of materials. A post every 10 feet equals 132 minus the gate and braces, 4 rolls of barbed wire would work if you aren't wasteful. Get 6 and1/2 foot T posts if you can. You probably have over $1200 in materials without the 4 braces. You could put the posts 20 feet apart for a saving of maybe $330 ($5 a post) , but I wouldn't recommend that. I would build it for $3000 if I were a contractor and it was close to home. If it were me I would use Wood braces and gate posts and build it myself. Of course I'm retired and I like to build fence. I sure hope my arithmetic is right because y'all are pretty watchful and brutal in correcting as I learned not long ago.

In our area - 5 wire barbed wire, posts on 15' centers, 2 7/8 posts where wire ties, 2 3/8 braces and cross braces runs ~ $10,500/mile - until we hit rock. When you start drilling posts in - add a BUNCH of bucks! Pipe pasture gates (lightweight) run ~ $120 up.
Back about 15 years ago, we used to figure $1 / foot.
Damn, time flies!
And costs rise!

I'd think a bit high - for 1/4 mile, though.
