Always have my eye out for a 7x57. I think I'm done now. Swapped scopes around so I get to sight them in tomorrow.

I'm not blairvt, but I use Warne QD rings on mine and like them. I am assuming you are getting the later double square version, not the round top.

Yes the square version. I dont really have a need for the QD's have looked at their permanent mounts however

Congrats on fine guns in my absolute favorite cartridge. Way back in 1980 a master tool & die maker and gunsmith, who actually made parts that went to the moon, recommended the 7x57 to me. Got a used Ruger #1 that year and loved it until it was stolen in '88. Been on the prowl ever since, but very picky. Finally got a nice customized 98 Mauser 7x57 AI with a custom barrel and beautiful stock last July. Like the handling and trigger, fire formed some brass, and plan to see how it shoots this Friday.

All to just say I identify w ya!
