Ruger 77 30/06 with a 2-7x Leupold. Still have the rifle, though it's no longer a 30/06, and the scope. That was 1984

1995 Century Arms M98 in 30/06. If I had any sense, I'd have stopped there too.

A Winchester M70 243 Varmint rifle new for $127 in 1957, It was accurate and helped me win matches, It's heavy 26" barrel was too much for hunting but I lugged it around, a fellow shooter had a new 220 Swift barrel that's on it now.
Made the money at a summer job assembling Typewriters.

Persian M98 carbine, in 1986, had already been sporterized with a trim, dark walnut Fajen and Williams rifle sights. I worked part time with a gun dealer who took it in on trade. He let me have it in lieu of pay for a couple shows. I still have it, still 8x57, but now in a laminate stock with a peep.

First one I bought was a BDL .270 new in 1976... wish I had not sold it... good gun but needed trigger work and I did not know how to do those things back then

1970, M94 Winchester in .30-30 for 65 dollars, still use it.
I put a receiver sight on it some years ago, otherwise I wouldn't be able to use it now, what with my close in ability to focus, or lack of....

My first "rifle" that I bought was/IS a Mossberg B A, tube fed 22, Shorts, Longs, Long Rifle. 1965, Heavy --- shoots great. I'll never admit to buying a C F before my 700 BDL 270 Win, $150.00, 1976 (?). Killed many coyotes and deer then traded......

First I bought with my own money was a Marlin 336CS in 35 Remington. That thing would put a good thumping on my shoulder with 200 grain core-lokt soft points.

1990 bought a Ruger 77 in a 25-06 from bi mart in Redmond Oregon. They were having a big sale at the time, back then I was enamored with the 25-06 not so much anymore. Anyhow I sold it and ended up with something else..
Then STFU. The rest of your statement is superflous bullshit with no real bearing on this discussion other than to massage your own ego. Suckin' on my titties like you wanted me.

Remington 788 in 222 with a Weaver 6x scope. I think the whole rig was about $120 brand new. I used to strap that across my back with a Ruger Standard pistol on my hip and ride through town on my Yamaha DT400 to go woodchuck hunting. They would lock down half the town if someone did that today!
