I just ordered a classic from grabagun for 330 shipped. Looks like a nice little gun for the money. Not really sold on the checkering but hoping for a nice piece of wood.
The checkering on our rifles are laser checkering. It should be top quality. I am sure you will like it once you are able to get your hands on the rifle. There are some exceptional pieces of walnut out there and some everyday pieces. I do not save the real good pieces out, They all get shipped just like the others. Actually our walnut is grown about 15 minutes from our shop and is rough cut by the amish. We get around 16 loads a year from them and it is kiln dried in our own kiln that we operate on the property. It takes anywhere from 90 to 120 days to dry a good load depending on how wet the wood is when it goes in. Very interesting process. We are 100 percent american made and we outsource nothing. I hope you enjoy your new rifle and please let me know your thoughts on it when it arrives.
Hippy. Those groups will tighten up when the wind goes down. All in all not bad at all. I have a few boxes of that sk plus but have not got the chance to try it yet. Looks like it works well for you.
