Manchin is toast if he's not a yes.
He missed his chance to run as a republican. People like him probably better than his opponent, but they will vote him out if he's a no vote in Kav.

When was the last time a Democrat ever did something that made sense? I remained registered as a Democrat for a long time after I started voting Republican, and I still don't like seeing the 'R" beside my name, as I prefer to be called a Conservative. I was convinced that there were conservative Democrats who would do the "right thing".....but the problem was, they never did. I just couldn't see how they would turn their back on doing what was best for the nation, and our national security and our moral values, and support a liberal, leftist, socialist party that was out to destroy those very things...........but they did, time and time and again. Why.......money and power.....that's it.

Filing for cloture is the only move. It has to end some time and better sooner than later. If the vote fails he has them on record voting it down with an upcoming election. Win. If the vote passes. Bigger win. If he's confirmed by Republicans only and the red stat Dems vote no, that's even a bigger win IMO.
