I'm happy to raise my glass, although it will be filled with ice tea. Gave up the hard stuff decades ago. I'm a prostate cancer survivor too. Us tough old bum's gotta stick together. Good luck with your coming hunting trips.

For me and my family, life is good. Congratulations on Kicking Cancers Ass!!!!! I hope life gets even better for you. Thank you for your service to this great country. FWIW: My wife told me one of the toughest parts for her was telling her kids she had cancer.

I will have one for you now and on Nov 10 next month.
It must have been quite an emotional ride for you. To be where you are at now, and to remember what went through your mind when you for got the news, must feel AWESOME.
You already know this, but this experience changed your perspective on life.
"...aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we instructed you, so that you may walk properly before outsiders and be dependent on no one." - Paul to the church in Thessalonica.

That reminds me, my primary physician said they don't do PSA testing anymore without symptoms showing and even then they are unreliable, so he said to go to a urologist. What the heck? My last PSA's were 0.97 and 1.23 but how much is the reassurance worth? Maybe I'll make an appointment, as I ran into an old coworker who said he just had his prostrate removed for cancer, they did it with a robot, and he said it wasn't so bad. Worrisome, because my former endocrinologist just passed from prostate cancer.

A tip of the hat to you, but mostly to those that will follow, that their outcomes may be the same as yours.......

Great news, I'll raise a glass and wish you good luck on your hunt.

Thanks for all the kind words.
Not to get into a pissing match (pun intended), but get your PSA checked. I had no other indications. Yes, your GP will send you to a urologist for further evaluation if your number is of concern. But, had I waited until I had other indications the cancer may not have been contained within the prostate and able to be removed completely. Ok, no more preaching from me.
And yes, RAS, my perspective on life has definitely been changed for the better. Did I mention the South Dakota pheasant opener is in one week? 😁

I raise my Virgil’s Root Beer to you. I was put on the survivor’s list last check-up & moved to 3 year intervals.
By the way, in case you missed it, Jeremiah was a bullfrog.
