Digital Dan-

I agree completely. Knowing the anatomy is crucial to success -- as you've proven with the variety of power levels you've been using on hogs. I've taken several hundred hogs, have never lost one and don't use any of the mega-magnums, either.

I rarely watch hunting shows anymore as I get furious when I hear "double lung!" on a shot that would be lucky to even get the liver. Either they know so little about anatomy or else are hoping the audience is clueless to the fact they made a poor shot on an animal. Not all shows are guilty of that, but several have done it in the past.

Plus one on the bad shots on TV and then they go back the next day lots of times. Or they don't wish to embarrass the shooter. Whatever the case I see the hair or dirt fly in a bad placement then hear "good shot or a double lung shot". I watch gun shows but not many hunting shows. Lately the European boar hunt show has entertained me when they do a "beat" and the youthful shooter picks out very specific boars to shoot. They give him the rules before hand and the guy is fast to ID them and a good shot on moving pigs. Also they show the bad shots and misses. He also is shown practicing at the running boar ranges. Both mechanical and electronic. Rusty
