Great job to you and your girl! Sounds like she made a great shot even with a difficult angle. Good for her.
She sounds like a tough young lady. She will use that toughness to deal with detractors. She knows where her burger comes from; that others will complain about her efforts with a stomach full of feed-lot meat is their shortcoming.
My 11 year old daughter got her third deer just this morning. Her mother took her our. She's not allowed to hunt elk in MT until she's 12 but she is dying to do so and is jealous of your girl.
We practice with deer targets. I sometimes have her take a shot while I count down to get her to speed up. You can even do it at home while dry-firing.
