I bought one of these last year and it is the perfect understudy to my 45 Colt Bisley:

Are these actually built on the Blackhawk frame or the Single Six frame?

Thank you.
The Ruger website shows no results for the model number 0680 shown on Bud's website and Bud's lists them under the Blackhawks.
Is yours a "Model 0680" ?

I would not trust Bud's listing to accurately reflect the factory nomenclature for any firearm.
The box label for my stainless Bisley Single Six, 22lr is: Model 00680 Catalog No. KRB-22AW
My understanding is that these were a non-cataloged run of several hundred revolvers made by Ruger last year.

Is the Single Six Bisley grip frame the same size as a Blackhawk Bisley? Or a smaller versioned Bisley grip frame for the Single-Six? Also, am I correct in stating that a standard new model Blackhawk grip frame is the same size as used on a new model (post-1973) Single Six? I've been into Ruger single actions since the 70s, but the brain aint what it used to be!

Yes, it is the same Bisley frame as used on the Blackhawks, and BH grips frames will fit on the Single Six.

Thanks pabucktail!
I really like the Bisleys and I have wanted a Bisley Single Six for years. I just ordered mine. Smokin’ deal, indeed!

I think you'll like it, mine exhibits better fit and finish than most of the newer Rugers I've seen lately.

No problem. I've never seen them in stainless or at this price. I done ordered one myself! I have only seen one - a mirror polished stainless Bisley Single Six at an auction a few years back. I think it was a limited run from one of the distributors like Lipsey’s. It went for a lot more than this deal; I think it sold for $650 or $700. I have a stainless Bisley Blackhawk convertible in 45 Colt/45 ACP. These two will look great together. You will be glad you went ahead and bought one - even if you gotta eat ramen noodles for awhile. 😀

Damn, that's nice. I will call my favorite toy store tomorrow and see if they can get it for me. Thanks for the link.

No, it’s easier than that. You call buds, pay for the gun, and pick from their list of your local FFLs. No need to go until your gun comes in.

THANK YOU !!!
This is my 1st time ordering 'anything' on line. I registered and followed instructions and the sale was confirmed. I called the FFL holder they listed - He said "No problem." and lives close by & confirmed the $20 transfer fee.
I told my wife about what a good deal it was and she suggested I get it for my birthday - (74 yesterday.) I have too many 'collectable-unfired-handguns' and this Ruger Blackhawk Bisley .22 - Isn't going to be one of them.

pabucktail, I think you should send Bud's an email and a link to this thread. Looks to me like you sold about 5 of these Bisley's for them and maybe you'd get some sort of commission. .

I am trying to resist ordering a second one to have fully engraved. 😳 I will at least wait until I receive the first one.

Always happy to enable further gun manufacturing and ownership! I saw it mentioned on some ruger forum there were 750 of these made last year.
