Completely new to airguns. But I need one for Fox, rare coyote shots. Always inside 50 yards. I only have 2 spots that I need this for (suburban) so I really don’t want to invest in a pcp, pump, and/or tank. I’m looking for a quality springer in .25, unless someone can convince me that a super fast .22 would work just as well. I know I’ll be limited to head shots, and I’m willing to put in the time to learn to shoot the rifle well. Thoughts?

My thoughts are that for practical purposes there are a number of .22 rimfires that are lighter, handier, more accurate and powerful than most of the air rifles you're gonna find. I understand that you live in a suburban area, so may not be able to use a rimfire but the above factors are what keep me from sinking money into air rifles.

What is your reason for shooting fox in a suburban area? If a fox is becoming a nuisance it'll be much easier and cheaper to trap it.
